Map the Frontier Mint Guide
This page is for users. It explains how to buy and mint a Map the Frontier NFT through an x402-capable wallet or agent.
Mint entry points
- Merchant page: https://x402.mavae.ai/map-the-frontier/
- Paid endpoint:
POST https://x402.mavae.ai/map-the-frontier/api/mint - Resource:
map-the-frontier:mint - Price:
1 AXON
What you need before minting
- An Axon-compatible wallet address
- At least
1 AXONto pay for the mint - A small extra AXON balance for wrap and wallet gas
Important note
- After you submit the signed payment, settlement on Axon mainnet may take roughly one to two minutes.
- Wait for the original request to finish. Do not create a brand new payment just because the first one is still pending.
- If your client times out, the safest retry is to reuse the same payment payload, not a new nonce.
- A newly signed payment is treated as a new purchase attempt, not a continuation of the previous one.
Standard purchase flow
- Call the mint endpoint without a payment payload.
- The service responds with
402 payment_requiredand one accept route. - If the wallet only holds native AXON, wrap the payment amount into
WAXON402. - Sign the EIP-3009 authorization payload.
- Send the payment back to the merchant endpoint.
- The merchant uses the facilitator to verify and settle the payment.
- After settlement, the NFT is minted to the paying address.

If it feels stuck
- Wait at least one to two minutes for the original request to complete.
- If your wallet or agent can retry, retry the same payment instead of generating a new one.
- If you are unsure whether minting already succeeded, check the wallet on /mynft.
- You can also inspect the response for
tokenId,tokenUri, and transaction hashes.
